Blizzard Was the Spark

Smarter Dog started with one pup: our white miniature schnauzer named Blizzard.

For 15 years, he was our joyful, curious, always-up-for-a-snack companion. But in his later years, something changed. Blizzard became forgetful. He got confused easily. Sometimes, he didn’t respond to his name. It wasn’t just aging — it was something deeper.

We later learned he was likely suffering from Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD), a form of dementia in dogs.

We didn’t know then what we know now. And that experience changed us.

Smarter Dog Is a Mission — Not Just a Product

After Blizzard passed, we started asking big questions:

Can we help dogs stay mentally sharp for longer?

Can nutrition, stimulation, and love make a real difference?

What tools do dog owners need to support their dogs’ brain health?

We dug into the science, spoke with vets and pet parents, and found a surprising truth: brain health is often overlooked, even though it affects a dog’s entire quality of life.

That’s why we started Smarter Dog.
